Deakin University tuition fees vary depending on student status and the course being undertaken. International students are generally required to pay the full fee for undergraduate study while both local and undergraduate students can be required to pay the full fee for postgraduate study.

Deakin offers a wide range of scholarships to assist students from many different backgrounds pay for their university fees. Undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships are awarded to students who pass the eligibility requirements.
